Sounds like the original game (as far as i can remember......though that was ages and ages ago).

If you've never played this game back in the day, i.e. 1980's?, then I don't think you will enjoy the game for long considering that we currently live in the madden football era of gaming. However, if you are like me and played this game extensively while a little kid then the .99 cents is worth the stroll down memory lane. the game recreates the original very well. down to the beeps and all.

I don't remember this game from the 80's, but like diesel said I think it'll be something you like more because you remember it. I love football but from watching the video I'm not sure about that game.

I like it. Diesel is right, however. More than anything, it's the nostalgia that makes the game worth it. Absolutely worth a buck just to play with it for a while.

yeah definitely harder than i remembered. though the soft buttons are pretty cool and work well. but the beeps.....ahhhh the beeps, that's what i remember the most, and i think they got the beeps down pat.

Fun game. Just like the old original version. This must be like the Coleco version it is not exactly like the Mattel version I used to have but very similar. There is big problems with this App, It plays fine for the 1st quarter than goes completely haywire for the 2nd. I have to close the App and start over. We need an update bad.

I have the original (along with the basketball one) and the iPhone recreation is pretty darn close. It's fun for a trip down memory lane and for the novelty of showing it to friends & family and saying, "hey, remember this?"

Actually, for 99 cents this game rules. I find it just as fun as I did back .... a while ago. It isn't a graphical masterpiece (though it's a great graphical recreation) but the game is actually fun to play. Gameplay and visuals aren't directly linked. Look at Tetris.

this game is so worth the .99 cents. I had both the football and baseball games when I was a kid. This app is the perfect replica for the football game. I can't wait for the baseball game.
