to my understanding, it does not repeat the notification.

What is the point of that? If you miss it the first time when in your pocket, you are out of luck.

The feature is under accessibility's, so maybe someone with a hearing problem may have missed the first notification?

Just like iOS has the ability to Repeat Alert (audio) up to 10 times, why shouldn't someone with a hearing problem have the same ability to Repeat Alert (LED) up to 10 times?

It should be set up to where the LED blinks until you acknowledge the alert you got--set it up to turn on/off LED notification for whatever alert you want to be alerted to---LED blinking at short intervals uses Very, very little batt power.
I sure hopw Apple sees this and changes this!
