I want to buy Left 4 dead 2 from this link:

On the link it says it's a PC DVD. Can you tell me whether a license for the Mac version comes with the PC version, so I can download it off steam?

Yes, the DVD will make you register with steam, and then you will have access to windows and mac version on any computer on which you have a steam account.
