Left 4 Dead on Steam

Hey guys, does anyone know when Left 4 Dead and Left for Dead 2 will be released on Steam for Mac? I wanna play them, but I don't want to a) buy them full price and have to play them on windows where my 13" Al MBP will heat up to 85 degrees Celsius and scald my fingers, and b) I can wait, I just don't want to wait much longer...yeah....

Anyways, if anyone might possibly know anything that would be great. The only thing I could dredge up was on the L4D blog which announced that they would be coming to the mac, but that was back on March 8.

They will be coming, we just don't know when yet.

Edit: Apparently the new L4D1 and 2 DLC pack will be out on October 14th. I guess we'll either have the game then or (since it'll be back in the spotlight) an announcement regarding the launch date.

Okay, cool. I had been hoping for an August release since they released DoD:S last month, but I guess not. That Oct. 14 date does sound good though, even if it is quite far away....

I'm pretty sure the Mac version of L4D2 is coming out the same day as the new DLC, so October 14th.
