Due to the shape of my ear my left earpiece always falls out. This has happened for years with any brand of earpiece. I presently am using generation two AirPods and they sound great but I’m wondering if the generation three would fit better. Alternatively, would the pro be the best fit? Any experienced opinions would be appreciated. I wish that I could try them all before I buy but that’s not possible. I have no idea what is wrong with my left ear, it looks and works normal, I just can’t keep an earpiece to stay in it.

The Air Pod Pro was a worse fit for me then your current AP2 gen, my issue was similar but was the right side. I think you should seriously look at the Beats Fit Pro, most secure fit I found on any in ear style. I have not used the 3 gen model but I understand they are a bit fatter so the fit could be worse. BFP offer all the same technologies of the APP and AP3 except that they also have ANC which works surprisingly well. I actually prefer the sound signature better than the AP2 or APP models. And the case in my opinion of the BFP is actually of better design as I have had charging issues with the AP2 due to dust accumulation and whatever.

I got the AirPod Pros, wow they sound great! It turns out that the hole (ear canal) in my left ear is a small and my right ear is a large. So, trying to fit the large earpiece in my smaller left ear canal all of these years was the problem. It was popping out because you can’t fit a large peg in a small hole. I’m very satisfied with the sound and fit plus the noise cancellation is an awesome feature.
