Hey guys, this is my first post, hope no one minds me asking for some information.

I am currently looking into having an iphone app developed for a PC game which I enjoy playing. The app would really be nothing too fancy, just a quick reference for monsters, or perhaps some tool to aid the in game experience through the iphone. Very basic stuff really.

Does anyone know where I could read about the legalities of making an "Unofficial" app and charging a small amount for it?

I have noticed that there are a couple of unofficial ones for the game Minecraft which is a very similar game to the one I am considering at the moment.

If anyone could shed any light, or point me in the direction of where I could read about the legalities, I would be really grateful.

Thanks, and apologies for the lengthy question on my first post.

Peace.

If you use any logos, potentially the game name, potentially even specific words (say the names of monsters) from the game you could be facing trademark issues.
