Legit iPhone Unlocking?

MY friend has a iphone hes selling to me

it was 1.02 and he signed up for the 2 yrs plan thru iTUnes and he upgraded to 1.1.1 and then canceled his service.


I did jailbreakme.com and installed anysim1.1 and it did unlock successful. I then restarted the phone and then it went to the activate connect to itunes and told me i had a wrong sim card etc.

then i restored and did all all that 301 crap and at the contacts it had the previous number stored!

what should I do!

do i need to re-viriginze it.. if so how?

You need to go back and fully restored it to factory setting with iTunes and make sure there's no contacts or apps from previous jailbreaks. If it's all cleared then you can start your jailbreak and unlock software. Or try this method.

i would virginize the phone with the script the dev team released.
then restore the phone to 1.1.1 via itunes

after this youll be able to go to jailbreakme.com and add

http://i.unlock.no

to the sources in the installer app
this will allow you to install simfree and unlock her

i did it 3 days ago and it worked like a charm!

There's no need to virginize if you used anySIM 1.1 ! Just do a normal restore in iTunes which will wipe everything on the phone and start again.
