Hello,

It seems when I have dropped my iPhone 14 Pro (even though I have a case) - One of the camera lens now has a scratch or even a possible crack. I do have AppleCare+ but I'm not sure if this would be covered by that even If I paid an excess fee?

Does anyone know if they would actually repair/replace this at all with AppleCare+. It doesn't currently affect the camera from operating from what I can tell so far.

That's a crack, and I can't see how it wouldn't affect your images.
I'd certainly look into what Applecare+ would do for it.
That's why you bought it, isn't it? ;)

I had the same. I had my 14PM in my Jacked and when I turned around i smashed it to the edge of a sharp metal table.
First I thought it does not affect me. I still did call apple and did a express replacement. Then when I tried to setup the new Phone I was not able to scan the qr code thin to restore it and I had to use the numbers.

Update: Got a same day repair at the local Apple store which I'm quite impressed with and only needed to pay £25 thanks to AppleCare+. For just the smashed camera lens they replaced pretty much everything apart from the screen and the camera module from what the staff member was telling me.

Now onto eSims... what a faff they can be. Due to the phone being reset/hardware componenets being replaced I no longer had access to the original eSim and that can't be activated as my network wants to send me a code via text to my phone number. I can't get said text as I don't have access to the network.

Anyway, I had to pop into a local EE store and get them to transfer my number back to a physical sim so I could get back onto the network.

I don`t know how it is for your provider but here I can go to a local store and get a new QR Code. Or I can use my online portal. Unfortunately the online portal uses 2FA with the phone number so the only way here is to go to a physical store.
