2.33gHz C2D - 4GB RAM - 10.5.1

Standard 2.33gHz = 2975
My Geekbench = 2942

Perhaps Geekbench doesn't really utilize the additional 4GB

Standard 2.33gHz = 117
My xBench = 88.90

Seems as though on xBench the Hard Drive related portions kill my score...

Does anyone have a test that they stand behind? Think of it as preventative because xBench seems to think my HDD is a bottleneck. May indicate corruption.

Geekbench 2 doesn't use a lot of RAM (around 128MB) when measuring your system's performance since it's more concerned with the speed of your RAM rather than the quantity of your RAM.

Also, when comparing scores it's more important to look at the relative difference (in this case 1%) rather than the absolute difference (in this case 33 points). There are all sorts of ways system configuration can vary, and all sorts of ways these differences can affect Geekbench. Seeing a small (generally less than 3%) difference between scores is normal and nothing to worry about.

try running Xbench without disk test. My 2.2GHz MBP scores 109.95 (all tests) or 161.28 (without disk test).

IMO it's a little unfair to test laptop hard drive against desktop hard drives, and I do know that some people have massive RAID systems if for nothing else but getting bragging rights.
