i'm going to install vista on my mac but my leopard install disk is at my mums house, can i still install and use vista or do i need to get the disc back?

and how much disk space will i need, its vista ultimate?

ok forgive my stupidity. installed vista and can easily switch between OS X and windows, I take it the drivers are for the i sight camera and stuff like that?

You don't need the Leopard disk to install Vista on a Mac, however, you need the drivers for windows. You can actually download the drivers from the usual places if you don't have your disk with you.

Sounds like you have installed Leopard on more than 1 computer? You should buy a copy if you don't own the disk, as it's a ONE LICENSE for one computer only, and be installed on one computer only.

i can assure you i have not installed leopard in more than one computer, my mum just bought a mac with leopard on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was taking over some cd's and my disk happened to be in with them.
there's more honest people out there than you think:mad:
