Leopard froze

I have two HD on my G5, one to boot in Leopard and the other to boot in Tiger. When i leave it inactive for over 30min it freezes and that rainbow wheel keeps running but system is frozen. What might be the reason for this? What setting might i be looking for?

Edit the energy saver preferences!

System Preferences -> Energy Saver

Or it is probably a problem with the HDD. How old is the HDD?

well the HD is as old as the G5 is, so i take it that it must be pretty old, say like for 5-6years at least! U think there is something i can do?
