Hey everyone, I've been a Mac gamer for 30+ years now (I started with Myst/Marathon in 1996 on my Performa 6200) and have since dedicated my free time to bringing more awesome games to the Mac.

For quite some time now I've been working on setting up a Discord server that focuses on sharing information and tools about porting open source software to vintage Intel & PPC Mac OS X (10.5 Leopard and later.)

The main goal is to provide technical assistance and knowledge about the software porting process as well as to build a community of likeminded people interested in expanding the currently available software library for legacy Apple hardware.

The server currently features a vast library of game wrapper apps and porting tools (native and non-native) as well as detailed step-by-step tutorials for anyone who's interested in participating.

I've recently started adding a whole bunch of freeware PowerPC ports to the servers downloads section (there're approx. 80 titles as of now) and you can expect that amount to increase significantly in the coming months.

So for anyone who owns an old Mac from the 2000’s era and would like to revive it with some new games and apps, I highly recommend you check it out.

Suggestions and new ideas are always welcome ofc!

Thank you for your hard work! I popped in trying to get a fix for Ren'Py, which @Nightphase requested. Thank you for your help with that. Sadly, I haven't had the time to get fixing Ren'Py, as I got distracted fixing mpv-legacy and other stuff for Tiger.
There are some notable open-source and source-available games in Ren'Py (Like Analogue: A Hate Story), so it may be worth your time to fix for Leopard.
Other ideas:
I got SuperTuxKart 0.4 built on Tiger with Macports, it might be nice to resurrect a somewhat later version. Perhaps 0.8 would be good, as it has a story mode? Modern versions are not realistic because of OpenGL requirements and little endian specific code.
Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs is open source, though they charge for the assets. I know Amnesia: The Dark Descent ran on Leopard and was well thought of.
Similarly: Celeste 64: Fragments of the Mountain is open source with non-free data. As that is a 2024 game, it would probably be the most challenging to port.
Mario Party 4 was recently decompiled, a source port of that would be cool, though of dubious legality.
I know there have been some on this forum wishing for a Half-Life or Half-Life 2 port - MorphOS has had some success.
