I came across a script that will fix a number of HTML and CSS in IE to make the page look more like IE7's rendering (and one for enhancing IE7). I'm surprised it took me so long to come across this, but sounds promising. It does have a drawback of there being an extra file to download and also won't help users with JavaScript disabled, but still a pretty cool thing. I haven't tested this personally, as I have no real need, but figured others might get a kick out of it. Think I'll add it to the sticky as well.

This sounds interesting. I wonder if it will do anything with my IE-related problems?

It works, and it has saved a couple of sites for me, from being literally dead on IE6.... but its not perfect. If your site has some really complicated layout, it wont work...... completely. it will get you half way there though... its an amazing piece of code thats for sure.
