Looks like Sammy isn't slowing down with releasing new devices. With the upcoming Note 2 unveil, they will follow with their Windows Phone 8 devices and Windows 8 tablets. And they're already teasing their upcoming Windows 8 hybrid PC.
It even comes with a stylus. I think Sammy will be given full credit for bringing back the stylus. First on Android, now on Windows 8 tablets.

That's the series 5 & 7 tablets. They are gonna be amazing, they look very slick. The Windows 8 tablets are gonna definitely take a good bite out of the tablet market.

I'm gonna pic up one of these as soon as it is released. Absolutely gorgeousness. The series 7 all in one.

I like the Windows Phones and the new tablets look very promising. But I think it might be too late. So many people have adopted the Apple and Android products. But if anyone can it is Microsoft. Who ever thought they could be a force in the video game market back in the day. They were late to the party, but are successful. I am old enough to remember when Apple was the force in the computer market and very few people thought MS would be able to make the inroads they did. But now look at the Market Share for MS vs. Apple on the PC side. This type of thing is so hard to predict.

I love Windows Phone but I've found Windows 8 (on the don't call it Metro side) to be appalling on a non-touchscreen desktop using the Enterprise 90 day trial.

Can't wait to give it a whirl on a tablet primarily. I bet that' when it really does shine!

I've been using windows 8 on my laptop for the last couple of months. Started out loving it but now I hate it. Its just too damn difficult to use with a mouse. Have wiped and gone back to good old windows 7 and it just feels so much nicer.

think windows 8 will be great on a touch screen device but keep clear if you have to use a mouse.

Seeing this pic makes me even more excited about windows 8 and the future of computing in general. Nice to see MS being brave and changing things up a bit. Proof will be in the pudding though I guess.....

Why is it harder then normal to use the mouse?

I'm sorry but I just don't get the appeal from this.
I also don't see how this is innovating all they did here is changed Icons and Live Icons in to tile shapes instead of round or any other shape.

When the public beta came out I loaded it and used it via parallels and hated everything about it.
I mean maybe it's because I always had a dislike towards windows but this was way worse then win 7 alone.

I also really dislike the color scheme it looks cluttered, childish or toyish not like a serious OS.
To me it is a bust on the desktop side of things but besides the look it could very well work great on a mobil device.
I'll try to be open minded when I test it out when they come out to market.

Keep using it for a few weeks. The learning curve isn't the best, but there's something Magical™ about having a chat open and being able to work on your desktop uninturrupted, simultaneously.

I find the Metro interface very innovative and it looks great. But I am a hobbyist photographer and love having my pictures of my family and travel shots on display. I keep all icons off my desktop so if I'm not in an application, a picture is all I see. Am I missing something or does Metro squash this?

The desktop function of W8 would allow you to do this. You have to switch over to that "application" to do so, though.

Metro interface is designed for touch first, mouse/pen second would be my guess? Although, I had no probl ms using my mouse with the beta CE. Worked just fine.

This is my point I don't see how it's any harder (not saying its not). You being an android guy imagine this. I'm currently on a business trip in a hotel. I'm using my Xoom as a remote desktop to my xp machine. Im using a mouse and keyboard.

So basically I'm using a mouse and keyboard on a device and app designed for a touch interface. Then that is emulating normal windows XP. It works perfectly. So how can this be so easy but MS can't get an all in one solution right?

I haven't used Win 8 but from vids I've watched it seems cool and has a lot of flexibility, I mean if someone is really stuck on using the desktop mode like normal, just click the desktop icon. That isn't hard, unless I'm missing something?

For us on the forums I think it would be fine, I think where people may get confused or be like wtf?!?! would be the avg normal user who has no clue and just thinks "desktop" is windows if you know what I mean. I know if I threw W8 in front of my sister she'd have a very confused look on her face lol. It is interesting that Microsoft is pushing the UI that way for even desktops, nice risk for them, I'm sure it'll be fine once people get used to it.... but I can already see the crazy amount of complaints/backlash they get initially from it from people who aren't fond of "change" (just like Vista ughh, Win7 is what Vista should have been)

If that is an all-in-one PC then I am saying goodbye to my iMac.

It's all bandwagoning. All the time I hear people screaming "Windows 8 sucks for desktops". Yet here I am, on a desktop, using Win8 exactly how I used Win7. Workflow, regular usage, everything, it's all about the same.

I can only think of three things I don't like about Windows 8.

1. If you go to the very top of the screen, you can grab the desktop and place it off to the side Metro style. This isn't normally a problem...unless I'm marquee selecting a whole bunch of files. I find myself accidentally grabbing the window instead of my files.

2. No "All" category in type to search. Comeon, MS. You had it the old Start menu setup, why not have it now? I hate having to manually select between Apps, Settings, and Files when all I used to have to do was type a name specifically to find what I want.

3. The deservedly maligned difficult to find power button. Even now that I know I can hit it from the charms bar, it's still more of a pain to get to than it used to be. Why not add it to the top right corner of the new Start menu? That'd make it a helluva lot more obvious and easy to find.

So...a few little things, but nothing I'd consider absolute dealbreakers. One thing's for sure, Win8 is hardly the mess of massive, horrible changes most people make it out to be. It just has a few quirks here and there.
