Hey all. I've submitted version 2.1 of my app LetMeKnow to the App Store.

Its got some nice additions, such as setting an alert sound for subscriptions, as well as a new push mail subscription. You can create your own @push.letmeknow.ws address, and any e-mails sent there will be pushed to your device.

With the current version I have been getting duplicates about website updates. Also today I have got tons of push notifications coming in as jumbled text.

I was doing the website update method. I will switch to RSS as I was doing it for the macrumors home page. I sent you an email awhile back about the duplicates. We were in touch earlier by email (pre 2.0) I am glad you came on by macrumors.

It really is a great app! I have enjoyed it. I have only had the odd problem since 2.0.
 
I really like your app. It's better than pushRSS. I tried it.

As for the other guy I too got the duplicates. I deleted the subscription exited the app, waited a minute and readded and it seems to be cured.

Can we get 200 response check for SSL? Some my connections are 443 only.

RSS Reader been imporved in newest version?

I did see your other post.

Strange issue with the duplicates. I haven't pinpointed the cause yet but I'm working on it.

trainguy77, were the push notifications for webpage updates? Were they garbled in the notification detail as well?

Intrepid, I just updated the server to check for 200 for SSL. Just make sure "Host" has the https:// scheme, and the port is set to 443. And yes, you can now tap links in a notification without leaving the app.

Yes the notifications were for webpage updates. When viewing the details it was saying 99% of the page had changed and the details showed both random data was added and removed.

Hey anyone have the app and want to test out the push e-mail? I can still set it up for version 2.0 but you can't manage it from within the app (but you can still receive pushes and read notifications). Just PM me the profile e-mail address you have associated with the app, and the desired username.

It's been quite slow these last couple of days. Had to wait half a day to get a notification that someone I subscribe to had posted a video. Is anything going on? Right now it is almost useless to me, to be honest.

Nothing's going on. Sometimes the YouTube API is delayed in returning new user activity - I'm looking into a better way to get the data.

Sorry the app's useless to you - please don't leave a bad review though!

Sorry to bring up an ancient thread... But...

What happened to this App? I used to love it and had purchased additional subscriptions and faster updates. Now I see it's no longer in the app store, and after upgrading to iOS4.1 it won't install. If this app is dead and gone for good, anyone know of a decent app with similar functionality?
 
I was hopeful when I saw this thread, I bought it a while ago, and deleted it in favor of another app. The other app hasn't been working the past month, and Exchange sync email no longer pushes my emails.

I read on Twitter perhaps a month ago that the developer was planning on putting the app back up... heard nothing since then.
