We're a mixed bag here some of us are corporate drones, others are jobbers, and some are enthusiasts. The threads lamenting Apple like a jilted SO are fun and all that but we got a lot of them. The waiting threads and the whats it going to look like threads are fun but they have a tendency to devolve into anything but a waiting thread. I'd kind of like to have something more productive.
The MP update cycle has been so long it's probably going to push it out of life cycle replacement for corporate drones. What is your plan once that happens, do you have gear that will need replaced, how are you going to connect to your networks, are you going to be able to get server space to change formats if required etc. I can't imagine hackintoshes are going to be IT approved so that's not really and option.
For our Jobbers are hackintoshes going to OK with your clients will they care? If you've bought into TB are you going to to find another TB system to replace your current? If your on a cMP how are you going to deal with drive format changes and archiving? Are you going to outlay for network storage vs. local to ease a transition back? Would the capital outlay negate the benefits of the switch even if staying pushes project time tables right a bit?
Enthusiasts I assume will hack since it will make their lives simpler?
What's the plan B folks or is there a plan B?
