After many feedbacks before the release of iPadOS 26... we couldn't bring back Split View and slide over... BUT WE WANT THEM BACK !! It's crazy to see how it's complicated now to have 2 apps on the same screen on iPad... DAMN !

So um we will try with this petition, if you can sign it, it might help it to bring it back !! https://chng.it/BNyPSmsjX8

WE WILL TRY EVERYTHING TO BRING BACK THOSE FEATURES AND MAKE IPADOS GREAT AGAIN !!!

I've asked more features before wwdc, damn we are getting less now...

They are better options now and we dont need outdated confusing redundant ways. Simplicity and minimalism is key

If you think Apple is going to pay even the most minimal attention to anything like this then you’re even more delusional than I could possibly imagine.

Apple, the company that is famous (for good and for bad) for ignoring public sentiment. Apple, the company that swiftly and capriciously casts off far more important technological underpinnings and systems to move toward its own goals (32 bit transition, anyone?). Apple, the company whose patron saint founder once said “people don’t know what the want until you give it to them.” Think about the attitude behind a statement like that: They’re Apple’s products—they’re just letting you use them.

Preservation of features and foundations are fundamental hallmarks of Android and Windows. If that’s what you want, you’re using the wrong platforms.

I have a 12,9" iPad, so screen real estate isn't such a problem, but the OP has a point! If I had a standard-sized one I'd probably want to keep it in full-screen mode, and it was much easier to get two windows side-by-side than it is now.
