As my wife says, she's a B**ch. LoL. OK, that's one user's take.

I thought Siri was stupid at first. Who talks to their phone? Now I think Siri, in concept, is indispensable for the modern smartphone. My phone isn't just a device, it is a smart partner. And talking to my phone is far and away the most effective interaction.

But Siri as of today, September 2016, is weaksauce. You may disagree. I simply can't get a consistent interaction with Siri beyond the more simple tasks like set a timer. As an example, today I asked where is Julie (my wife, and Julie is her nickname in contacts). Siri gave me Julie's contact info. I say find Julie. Same result. I say where is Julie right now. Same thing again. Uh, really? I can text or call Julie with Siri. So I say open Find my Friends app. We each use that app and share our location. Siri says she doesn't know who my friends are. Huh, I am just asking Siri to open an app. Its an Apple app! Open the thing. But she can't. This is the kind of WTF Siri experience I have over and over. And do not get me started on things like the whole "don't overcook that egg" comment when I set a timer for 3 min. There just might be more than one reason to set a 3 min timer. Seriously. WTF?

I'm on iOS 10 beta, the latest. Maybe the GM will be better. Maybe Apple will turn on some switch. Maybe I keep dreaming Apple will actually do more than just what is needed to maximize profit.

iPhone 7, our newest hardware friend, is Siri's biggest performance venue. What's your take on Siri?
