No, I got it. You didn't get what I said then.
I was asking if it would still be covered if my phone is from July? Or will they blame the dust on me? That's what I'm asking.
I also realize that it would void my warranty, I'd have no qualms doing it post warranty though, as there would be nothing to void. I would never buy the extended warranty because if it's a product worth 200 bucks to begin with it damn well better last 2 years anyways! If not, it's my last iPhone. Now, if Applecare covered accidental damage, I'd get it in a heart beat. It's like giving them more money to make sure they didn't screw you over. Doesn't make sense. I got it with my laptop because it's meant to last much longer than a few years and can have a few kinks to work out.
So now that I've established that I don't care about extending my warranty, I don't care if I open it past the warranty date, I will try to get it fixed by Apple for free if someone can tell me if they'd let me for sure, can someone answer my question? Has anyone done a replacement manually of their screen or front of their phone and if this allowed them to solve this issue?
