LG 5k2k HiDPI resolutions missing after upgrade to macOS 13

I have an LG 40WP95C 40" 5K2K monitor I've been using with my 2019 MacBook Pro.

Since updating to macOS 13 I've noticed several resolutions are now only available with the "low resolution" options. 3840x1620 HiDPI does not seem to be available anymore:

Is this a bug in macOS 13, or planned obsolescense?

Probably just Apple messing with you.
Use SwitchResX. Check for a 7680x3240 scaled mode. If it doesn't exist, create it. That should give you a 3840x3240 HiDPI mode. If it does not, then use https://github.com/joevt/AllRez to get a list of all the modes and other info. Maybe you can install OCLP with Lilu.kext and WhateverGreen.kext and enable some WhateverGreen patches to get the 7680x3240 scaled mode.

Had exactly the same issue with an LG 4K, after reboot I get the graphical select system like the internal display, but still fullHD at 60Hz. Changed resolution and back to default and bang: 4K at 60Hz as expected.
Try it and see if it works. I have M1 Air.
