LG G4 Is A Sleeper!!!

Though the likes of Moto have done the reverse this generation and actually put SD Card into their Moto devices.
I can understand from a business perspective the benefits of up-selling on storage why some remove it... I'm more surprised by the adding of it for the reverse reason - I for example would have bought a 32 or 64gb Moto X style, but now they have added MicroSD card support I'll buy the 16gb and add a microSD myself. In that sense the company is actually losing out of extra revenue they could have made off my purchase.
I bought the l4 as my first android seemed cool. but I found it buggy and was terrible with screen brightness and wireless kept disconnecting. it was also killing my hands and the back power button was driving me nuts. so I traded for the s6. the s6 is much faster and has a better screen. though I do miss the larger screen. the screen brightess works much better no wireless issues and it charges wireless.
I got the G4 very soon after it came out.
It's funny, I was getting frustrated with it but this past week or so, it's suddenly really grown on me!
LG have already released a couple of software patches that have improved performance, and I'm hardly getting any lag at all (that's also using an SD card). The camera seems to be the best all-rounder there is, especially after seeing the shootout on Android Central between the S6, the G4 and the OnePlus 2.
I actually got an S6 Edge when it came out, and thought that it was fantastic. I just didn't like certain stuff, like the glass back (which in my house, would get destroyed in 10 minutes lol). But Samsung generally did a great job indeed. The thing is the S6 is essentially Samsung's (advanced) version of an iPhone 6.
The LG G4 is "ANDROID" through and through. There's SD card support, removable battery, it's customisable, you can throw it around without worrying it will shatter, it's got a large beautiful screen but a compact body, it's very light compared to similar phones, it's "only" got an 808 but flies (that 3GB RAM helps)....
I dunno, the OP is pretty much spot on. I look at a Nexus device and can only see it adding a couple of things, like fingerprint scanner and being pure Android.
The other thing - the price on a G4 is insane, you can now easily pick one up for £300-325 which is SUCH good value. Tbh the Moto X Style won't be that wildly different. The G4 bodies the iPhone 6 Plus is almost every way, it's just missing a fingerprint scanner. Apple will need to do well with the 6S range.
The G3 was exactly the same experience last year - first couple of months, hmmmm... Then LG every 6 weeks would fix so much stuff that it changed the user experience. It even got a solid build of Lollipop on DAY ONE, even before some Nexus devices!
Honestly, LG are making a lot of good decisions and phones. They are not perfect, but they are without doubt the best all-rounders you can get. I've been eyeing up so many phones, but when it comes down to it (so far) none of them would make me trade in my G4.

My first smartphone was an LG Optimus T and no matter what I couldn't kill that thing; I loved that little phone. It was one of the snappier phones back then. So I've had many devices since then iPhones, Moto x, Samsung and I must say it's nice to be back where I started. I find the LG G4 to have the same type of fluidity that the Optimus had. My favorite feature is the customizable on screen buttons with the notification shade button. I bought the quick circle flip cover which added wireless charging and also bought the 2.0 quick charger that improves charging speed by 30%. Battery life thus far has been great especially compared to the S6. I slapped nova launcher on it because well LG was never good at icon appearances, but they really nailed the optimization of that 808. Great job LG!
I'm considering the G4 because of the screen size and the price. I want a larger screen like the S6 edge+ or note 5, but I don't really care for the price of those phones even though they are incredibly beautiful.
I wouldn't spend crazy money on a phone, I either look for bargains on flagships or just wait a few months...
The S6 edge+ and Note 5 are obviously very new and expensive, but I do think the G4 for the price (which is basically half the price!) is incredible value for money.
The size is awesome too. Obviously no phone is perfect, but it's definitely worth trying out.
Yeah at €430-450 brand new here unlocked / sim free its actually very good value indeed.
LG G4 is the best bang for your buck. It has the best screen possible on any phone today, including the Note 5 if you ask me. Definitely the best phone, but they need to make a smaller size but keep everything else the same.
