I am interested to know which one of these is a better option:
https://www.lg.com/monitore/lg-32UL950-W
https://www.dell.com/en-uk/shop/del...3qe/apd/210-bcyo/monitors-monitor-accessories

LG's advantages:
  • has 2(!) thunderbolts vs single USB-C (you don't choose between high resolution and data transfer, you can have both)
  • 450 cd/m² vs 400
  • ~100$ cheaper
  • has speakers (hopefully as good as Ultrafine 4k/5k)

Dell's advantages:
  • 90W charging vs 60W
  • great ports
  • better contrast (2000 vs 1300)
  • IPS Black (?)

I am just trying to make a decision and would like to know your opinion. While thunderbolt ports and speakers lead me towards LG, 90W charging, the number of ports, IPS Black (? looks good on pictures), and the fact that it is newer - towards Dell. Are there any other features I am missing?

Also for anyone who has LG32UL950 - how is the speaker quality? Is it as good as Ultrafine 4k (22-24) / Ultrafine 5k (27) ?

I had the LG. Unfortunately I cracked the screen when moving, the repair shop asked about the same price as a new monitor to fix it, so is dead.

I was quite please with it, except it was a kind of big at 32 inch, got using basically only the lower side of the screen to avoid neck pain.

The speakers sounded normal to me, I would prefer to have that instead of my current ASD. The ASD speakers have a strange bass, making difficult to understand dialog and people talking in meetings, there are already some reports on this forum. I did not have this problem with the LG.

Color wise looks ok to me, particularly in P3. I did not notice disturbing text blurring due to scaling. Text was much better than a Dell 27 UP I also tried.

The only issue were the usb-c ports, you get only 5Gbs from them and lots of HDD disconnects when the monitor goes to slip. The SSD did not disconnect for some reason.
Hope this helps

That sucks, I've done that before. yea funny you mention the size, I'm use to 27 and as much as I enjoy the idea of a 32 I'm starting to feel like it's a little big, especially since I use a 3 monitor set up it's kind of overkill. I just ordered the 27 dell, I'm going to compare the crispness and see if the increased ppi on the 27 shows any discernible improvement in text.
