LG UltraFine 5K display ghosting issues

I've been having ghosting issues on my LG UltraFine 5K monitor since I got it a couple days ago. I understand that Apple calls it image retention and claims it's normal but it's a bit too much for me. Just wanted to know if anyone who also owns a LG 5K monitor has had similar ghosting issues with their display.

I'm currently running it on a 2016 MacBook Pro 13", 2 GHz Intel Core i5, 8 GB of RAM, and Intel Iris Graphics 540 1536 MB.

I have tried connecting my MBP and monitor with a different ThunderBolt 3 cable and nothing. I have also tried moving my devices and cables away from each other and still no luck. Before, I used a 2013 27" iMac in the place of my LG monitor and I've never had ghosting issues. I have a feeling my pretty basic graphics on the MBP is the cause.

If you have the LG 5K display and have had good or bad experiences with it please share. Thank you!

Entering 1 pixels lets me see it no longer touching by 1px.

Impossible. Maybe on an OLED display. You move them apart until the trails are not seen overlapping.
