the lg uses more swap than m1
the lg is using 16gb swap while m1 is using 6gb swap

Different operating systems aren't really comparable. I don't think you can draw many conclusions from this. Maybe someone who understands the details of Windows 10 memory management can explain the discrepancy.

People compare Linux and Windows RAM usage, Linux as expected uses less RAM. So you can compare

RAM usage isn't really the same as how an OS uses swap. There are many different techniques for doing virtual memory and paging. I don't know enough about how Windows 10 works to be able to comment beyond that though. You could be correct that they are similar.
