Silly question,

I have a iMac with my iTunes content with an AppleTV1 connected. I am trying to see if I can control a second AppleTv2 with my laptop but yet only use the media from my primary iMac library.

I sit in front of my laptop all day and just want to use it to control the appletv as it is only hooked to a stereo (no tv).

Is this possible?
Does this make sense?

you can...
share the library from your imac.
run itunes on your laptop, and access the shared library.
send the music to the :apple:TV via airplay.

there's no way to control the :apple:TV directly from a computer, if you have an iOS device, you could share the library from your iMac, then play it on the :apple:TV, controlled by the remote app.
