LibreOffice Install Problems ?

Hello,

Hate to appear dumber than I am, but am trying to install the latest full
LibreOffice suite. Just can't seem to do it.

I have downloaded, apparently successfully, the following two icons on my Desktop:
a: dk.dmg
and a: SDK Folder

Now what ?
How do I install, and see the actual programs ?
etc. ?

First, download LibreOffice from libreoffice [dot]org/download . Then run dmg file from your Download folder (pic 1) to mount image installation. After that run LibreOffice from your desktop (pic 2). Drag and drop LibreOffice to Application folder (pic 3). That’s it.

It sounds like you downloaded the SDK (Software Development Kit), which is targeted to those users who would like to modify the code in the app, for the developer's reasons.
If your intention is just to have the LibreOffice app, then you downloaded the wrong file.
Go back to LibreOffice.org, and click the download button (It's in the yellow button, in the green box!)
That will get you the Mac download for the LibreOffice app. It will download in a .dmg file, so double-click on that to mount the image. You should then see the LibreOffice folder, with a simple diagram to drag the LibreOffice app to the Applications icon, which (not surprisingly) will copy the app to your Applications folder. If you would rather put that LibreOffice app somewhere else, then drag it to whatever folder you like....
When the copy is complete, then you can "eject" that folder, delete the .dmg file (unless you prefer to keep it - that's your choice)
And, there's now your LibreOffice app in your Applications folder.

BTW, LibreOffice is one app. You open to the splash screen, allowing you to create or edit documents in six different usage categories.
