Notice iPad 2/3/4 cases are offered alongside the Air. I wonder what they were thinking to have dropped it so soon? I mean Apple is actually still selling the first gen mini on their website. I just found this very odd. I know it's available elsewhere but hopefully replacement parts stay in stock either way. If they were simply out of stock I don't think they would nuke the placeholder page.

The case is the same for the both iPad Minis, the first one and the new retina display version. That is probably why they don't have a separate page for each.

If you look at the description of the case it says it will work with the new retina version or the standard iPad Mini.

The new cases for the iPad Mini with Retina Display also work with the 1st gen. iPad Mini. I'm not sure why they're still selling the iPhone 5 cases since the ones for the 5s are backwards compatible.
