Lightroom and Photostream

I am another forced Aperture to Lightroom convert.

Is there a clean way to integrate Lightroom and Photostream?

I have looked at Folder Actions using automator at this link: https://plus.google.com/+AdamPortilla/posts/e1K1iZZFVbD

As well as Photostream2Folder.

This all just seems so kludgy and bolted together...any other options?

Have you thought about just using Lightroom Mobile to sync your iPhone / iPad photos instead of using Photostream? That's what I do and it works great. The benefit is you can edit on your phone and all your edits get back to your computer.
