Hello,

Which one would you prefer to use with a mac mini server 2011 / hd3000 gpu ? I think aperture is using gpu and lightroom only cpu power? In that case aperture will be much slower with a hd3000 gpu? The price difference is huge however. In case aperture is the best choice, are there any plugins correcting lens distortion ? Also noise reduction sucks more in aperture, can I use some kind of good plugin for that too?

Thanks

I am using a 2009 C2D mini w/ 4 gb ram...and it handles Aperture with no problem...I do have an upgraded 7200 rpm internal drive, but nevertheless, it has less than 1/2 the processing power of the new base mini...and a third of the sever mini.

I belive you will have no problems using either package, but you should choose the one that meets your workflow needs. They are very different.
