Limewire help needed

I am trying to open my Limewire, and it appears on my toolbar, then disappears. I go into finder, and click on it, again does the same thing. Why is it doing this, and how do I fix it? I want to download music; this is the only thing I use and then I transfer it into iTunes.

Alternatively, look for a file with LimeWire and PLIST in the name and drag it to the Desktop.

yes it's compatible, it's the mac version anyways. i have been able to use it prior to this.
