I placed am order for three smart watch bands. And I know I had enough money on my card to cover the cost. So Apple sends me an email saying this:

We could not complete your order.

Dear Apple Customer,

Thank you for your recent Apple Online Store purchase.

We are unable to process your order as it exceeds the quantity limits per customer. As a result, we've cancelled your order and you will not be charged.

We apologize for any inconvenience.

Sincerely,

Apple Store

So I am thinking they cancelled my order on my watches. Turns out it was the order with my extra bands. Anyone else have this happen to them?

I have 6 sport bands on order for mine and my wife's watches.

1 order for 2, 1 order for 1, another order for 1 and lastly an order for 2.

Basically I've been placing orders for different colors (all of which I will keep) but hoping to hit the color that will ship soonest.

No cancelation notices here. Yet.

These bands have been ordered for a little over a week. And all of the sudden today I get an email that the order for all three was cancelled.

Seems stupid. I heard that was a watch limit (2) but never heard of a band limit. Was it one order for 3? If so maybe that's this issue. But still I haven't heard of a band limit.

The only thing I can think of is I have multiple watches ordered. Plus the band order that was cancelled. So this system decided to cancel one of my orders. But thankfully it was the band order. I can always place another band order once my watch comes in. Better than being stuck again at the end of the line for my watch.

I can confirm I did receive an e-mail canceling one of my orders. I think it only happens when you try to order more than 2 bands at one time. I have five other orders placed a different times for various bands and only the order with 3 bands in one order got cancelled.

I did get a notice right away, like within seconds. So they didn't delay notifying me.

This is 100% a sign of limited availability.

So I am thinking they cancelled my order on my watches. Turns out it was the order with my extra bands. Anyone else have this happen to them?

Received the same one last night after I decided to pull the trigger and order a link band after a friend received his and thought it was sharp. It must be five since I ordered a two sports bands, leather loop and a classic buckle. I didn't think it was a big deal since the shipping time is now 2-3 weeks. Just like anyone else can do... go online and order and can't understand why a willing customer places a order for something that is available only to receive an email saying you bought too many of something and can't have it.

Could maybe understand if I ordered more than one of the same thing but seriously though it's just plain nuts. It's not like they are limiting a sale of a gun to a criminal, it's a watch band. I hope they remember this policy when the next iPhone comes out and the line around the Apple Store is filled with Chinese customers buying 10+ at a time because I'm sure everyone uses 10+ phones at a time.

Anyone talk to Apple on this? I'll have to search and read the fine print some where.

The Limit Is Four

Just had a chat with Apple and the limit is 4 per case size. My wife has a 38mm sport and has two other bands on order and I reached the limit at four so choose wisely...

I did re order the bands that were canceled. But I didn't order as many. I have three sport bands on order. So far they haven't canceled them. So maybe it was four per watch. Not sure.
