I have an 8 Gb touch, and I think it would be pretty sweet if it were also a phone. Problem is, I am very happy with t-mobile. What would the limitations f a sim unlocked 3g iphone on t-mobile be?

Visual voicemail will not work.
3g data will not work.
Edge data should work?
Will 3g work someday?

What other limitations are there?

I have a 3G on T-Mobile, and have to say that I've never had a phone that worked so well on T-Mo! Some disadvantages are that you won't have 3G speeds (but there's plenty of wifi around), and that there's no visual voice mail. GPS takes a little longer to start functioning, and you'll have to put the phone into airplane mode every time you synch to iTunes, and then reboot it. Just make sure you get it before they start shipping phones with 2.2 out, since as far as I know the sim unlock cards won't even work with that. 3G won't ever work unless there's a quad band 3G iPhone. Edge works perfectly fine with the iPhone, I have the $6 plan and get about 150 kbps on average. But I mostly use it for maps. There aren't really any other limitations, other than shelling out around $450 for the 8 gig or $550 for the 16. Oh, and MMS works great, T-Mobile doesn't try to block it!
