Hello everyone. I do some iPhone repairs for friends and family , new batteries and screen replacements ect. I had this old iPhone 5s that I never used in gold 64gb. I replaced the logic board from a space Gray iPhone 5S and put a black screen on it . So in total I now have a somewhat limited edition iPhone 5S with a gold body and black screen( ngl it looks pretty good ) that's in mint condition and has 64gb of storage . How much would a iPhone like this be worth ? And would it really be worth selling it ?

Thanks alot :)

Since your asking for opinions I’d say it’s worth the same as any other iPhone 5s in the same condition. The hardware is dated plus it’s been pieced together from two phones. An SE would of had the hardware to at least make it a capable phone for a couple more years.. You never know though, put it on Swappa/ Craigslist and see what kind of offers you get

If I were buying it, I’d look at it as a used iPhone 5s, that has become this many years past discontinuation. Is pretty close to being unsupported at all. And has been reconstructed from salvaged parts.

That doesn’t mean that I think you have junk. But it would be my “buying perspective”.

If we were friends, and I wasn’t buying it, I might say “hey that’s cool, great job”.

As a buyer, honestly, I’d probably offer around $20 to $25.

As a friend, I’d probably say keep it and enjoy the savings of having a very useful device.

The thing is, it’s not limited at all. It’s just a pieced together iPhone from various parts. It won’t really change the value, unless somebody is interested specifically in what you pieced together. Also, it’s an outdated iPhone. Your best option would be eBay and see what potential offers you could receive.
