Limited internet access. Please help with nexuiz.

Help me if you can. I work on a ship and very rarely have internet access. I cannot play online games. I have downloaded nexuiz but can't seem to get to what I call the "Real Game." So far I can only play bot matches. I have been through the tutorial and the lessons on firing the guns but only end up in bot matches.

Do I have to get through all of the bot matches to get to any type of real game?

I am tired of bots. Please help. Am I doing something wrong?

Again I have very limited internet access, so I am stuck with what I have.

That IS the game. Nexuiz is a deathmatch based FPS; single player mode is deathmatches with bots. The only other option is online or LAN play with other people.
