Can anyone let me know how to resolve this line that appears in the menu bar? It only happens when I have my MBP 16 scaled to the highest resolution, if I use default it goes away but I don't use default.

Menu Bar - Bad design and bug.png

I've tried changing wallpapers, enabling and disabling the battery in the menu bar and nothing has worked. A restart doesn't fix it either.

FIXED

To fix this you just have to swipe up with 3 fingers for mission control and create a new desktop, go to your new desktop and swipe again to close the previous one. Doing so should get rid of the line in the menu bar.

What are you looking at? There is no line in the attached picture.

Look at the 100% indicator and the actual battery icon, there's a line there that shouldn't be there. It's not my wallpaper either.

You’ve good eyes, mate. I had not at all seen that. Then again i also have ***** eyes, hehe

Haha yeah I tend to notice a lot of the imperfections in things. Drives me nuts though.

This one easily makes me go crazy lol

The right side of your menu bar has a slightly different shade than the left. I don’t know why that is.

Yeah that's the problem, not sure how this is happening but like I said if I use the default scale option it goes away. It only happens when I go to the highest resolution.

My 2015 27" iMac doesn't have that line. I am running Big Sur Beta. What app. are you running that gives you all that system data?

That's iStats, turning it off doesn't change a thing, the line is still visible.

moving icons change anything? ie the battery? anyway, just curious. hopefully fixed next beta/final release...

Yeah I also tried rearranging the icons and nothing worked. I'll just wait till the next beta. I also reported the issue to Apple via Feedback.

I’ve got the same thing on my MacBook. It’s attached to a big screen TV. Figured it was a bug and it’d eventually be fixed but it drives me crazy too!

You and me both.

This just showed up on my UltraFine 5K, too. Just started seeing it yesterday. Good times.

Yeah, not sure how this broke in B9..... I'd understand if it was B1 but come on man....

Happens to me also when scaling on 5k iMac. Seems to be some sort of width scaling of the menu bar. When scaling to "increasing the perceived resolution" the menu bar gets thinner, and as such the width gets shorter. Must be some sort of overlay which is pre-scaled for the menu bar.
