MBA M2 - just started using Pages. My line spacing is set to default auto-single. I pasted some paragraphs from an article into my document. Now my document has that line spacing - it double spaces when it should single space etc. To fix this in Word, you put the cursor back in your original typing, hit the paint brush, then put your cursor after the pasted text, and it copied the formatting from the previous, so you'd be back to normal. Or, you could go into line spacing options and set it. I don't see where to do either of those in Pages.

When u paste text the original formatting will be carried with that text unless you paste without formatting (Command+Ctrl+V, or edit > paste and match formatting). If u already pasted and want to revert the formatting to match the rest of the document you can place the cursor anywhere in the paragraph and then, on the right side inspector select Format (If not yet selected) and change the style to Body (you will notice that the pasted text might be set as Default*). If you have more than one paragraph of text, you can select all text before changing the style. Finally, if you want to keep the style of paste text (such as color and font) but only change the line spacing leave the style set as Default* but go down to spacing and change lines to 1.

Thank you.
Ah, and there is one more way, similar to the paintbrush in word. You select the test containing the style u wanted, then on the menu bar select Format > Copy Style, then select the text to format and choose Format > paste style. The shortcut for this is Option+Command+C or V
