I just installed and am trying out Line2 with my iPhone4. Actually seems to be working pretty well for voice and texting. For me, the sound quality so far has been a little better than Skype and I like that I can also use my bluetooth with it. I am thinking of trying it out on my daughter's iPod Touch 4th gen and then she basically can use it as a phone when WiFi is available.

Anyone else using this app? Seem to work well? Any issues? Thanks!

Line 2 is a pretty good VOIP. I use it as my only voice alternative. I run an iPhone 4 with a data only ipad sim. They do have the occasional outage, but it usually only lasts about 2-3 hours. I ported my number from my cell phone to them and it took a few days for text messaging to work. Other than that, I have been extremely happy with them....and my $35 a month cell phone bill.

Wifi calls works best, of course. 3G is fine, EDGE is awful. Just as you would expect. Texting works great on all.

I would recommend them to anyone, as long as they don't make and receive crucial voice calls.

How does it compare to apps like textfree?
