iPad Pro Lines across new ipad

Hi,

Recently purchased an iPad Pro 2018 11”.

Very happy with it so far, but realized today that I could see a few vertical lines and one big diagonal lines across the screen when black. The lines do not dissapear when wipes and are only visible on dark screens. It is very clear on the attached photo (not that clear in daily use), but something seems wrong here. The lines are more visible in the middle vs the edges of the iPad.

I’m almost certain the lines were not there at purchase as I spent quite a bit of time examining the screen thoroughly (boughtat slight discount as it was in new condition but returned/opened).

Wanted to check with you before going back to the store as I have a feeling they will send it in for a significant time (especially in these times).

Looks like scratches to me. I’d replace the iPad.

I also bought an open box iPad (the same model as yours) and it includes these faint lines. They are not hairline cracks and they can only be seen when the screen is very clean and in the right lighting.

The lines on mine form an X from the corners of the screen. There are also some vertical and horizontal lines that run across the midway points of the screen.

I tried applying more pressure when wiping the lines and some appear to be less visible.
