Lines on monitor?

Lines on late 2012 Mac mini. Vertical and horizontal comes and goes. Have a Dell 2713HM connected through a display port from the thunderbolt. Is it the gpu of the monitor?

Does it show up in screenshot? Shift-cmd-3. If it does it's the probably the GPU, if not probably the monitor.

Also, reset the cable or try a different cable altogether.

This was a screen shot. Sometimes when the mouse is positioned over it the weird lines disappear as if you are using an eraser.

Have you by any chance replaced the RAM DIMMs in the Mini?
If so, do you still have the originals?
If you swap back to the original RAM, does this problem still occur?
