I posted this in the OS X section of the forum, but given that so many Mac Pro Owners have done SSD installs, I thought I would cross post it here.
I have a small 40g SSD drive in my Mac Pro, and when I did the install, I moved my user directory to a seperate volume on a larger hard drive. The computer ran fine for about 3 months, and somehow yesterday I think it lost the link between the user directories and the system files.
The bottom line is I cannot login. I just get an error stating that I cannot login that this time. I need to try to figure out how to re-establish the link using just the Single user mode, and or terminal.
Any help here would be appreciated.
Thanks,
C. Alan
