hey,

this may seem like a rather dumb question but i was wondering if I link flickr or FB to my iPhoto library but upload those pictures using the flickr tool / facebook page instead of iPhoto. Does it take up disc space or will it simply let me view them while i am connected to the internet on iPhoto?

I was thinking of uploading most of my pictures on Flickr and simply view them "online" through iPhoto to save disc space on my SSD. is that possible?

In Short: Are pictures I upload on Flickr also stored locally once i view them on iPhoto?

Im afraid its most likely acting like dropbox isnt it?

thanks!

Open System Preferences->Internet Accounts and add your FaceBook and Flickr accounts and while once you add those account/password then while still in the pane set them up to sync what you want.

That's a really great question. I suspect iPhoto is, at the very least, caching/storing a large thumbnail of each image.

Uploading pictures to Flickr will not remove them from iPhoto. Remember Flickr is a way to share your photos and is not a backup of your photos.
