Hi everyone. I have a Linux computer running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, and I was loving it a lot. So one day about two weeks ago, I logged in to my computer so I could check my MacRumors Forums, just like I do everyday, and I logged in to my computer. After the usual loading symbol, I waited for it to show me the home page. Instead, the computer had other ideas. It showed me only a black screen and the cursor, and that was it. The cursor moves when I move the mouse, but when I click it doesn’t do anything. Anybody have any idea what’s going on?

It's hard to diagnose with just that information. Have you rebooted and seen if it worked again after that? Could just be that Gnome had a fit
Yes, I have tried to reboot, and still isn't working. I found a fix though. Thank you! Sorry.

Cheers; What was your fix? Boot in safe mode and delete conf files for X and Gnome?
Thank you. My fix was to use the key that came with it, and partition the Linux so that I could install Ubuntu 18.04, and it worked.
