Linux for the mac is it good? will it help PC users and companies currently using PC's to swap to the mac. Nevertheless surely this is a good thing right?

I have never used linux nor have I seen it in action so is linux for the mac worth getting?

also I noticed a completely different design of G4 on their site hehe no where near as good as the apple desing (I think it was a G4 but have not finished reading yet)

:)

linux is fine

saw it at borders for cheap...under 50 bucks or so with the manual and other software goodies bundled in

its good

The greatthing about it is that its cheep to buy (comes with all the manuals) and its free do download if you can spare the banwith. Plus it comes with all the pro stuff you might want like the apachi webserver and all the firewall stuff you might need. Andd if you want more.. its also mostly free. But Linux will never replce my Mac OS :)

How much RAM and hard drive real estate does a mac Linux need? Could it operated on an old 6100/66 w/16mb RAM and a 500mb drive (loaded onto a CD, of course)?

Sounds cool

sounds alright but i've never used
its free i wanna wait
better have cable,DSL or T1

But OS X sounds better

sorry about the mistake

its free if wanna wait

there thats better

OSX

I have linux box running a DSL connection at work, it hasn't been restarted for about 8 months and it simply great.

I use OSX and find it to be real powerful and stable as a rock (Only one Kernal Panic in the last 6 months)
