ovrlrd macrumors 65816 Aug 29, 2009 1,384 146 Jul 6, 2011 #2 You shouldn't be using FTP anymore, it is not secure which is why Apple removed it in Lion. Instead use SFTP which is part of SSH (Remote Login) which can be enabled in Sharing.

I'd assume so unless they changed the daemon since both run via the SSH daemon. If you want FTP go with something like pureftpd apple's ftpd has always been kind of annoying to configure.

Click to expand... Sorry, you're right! SFTP is that simple and I can connect very easy now again with my iPhone (apps: iStorage, ezShare etc.) to my Macs! So I don't need the Terminal. Thank you!
