So, my MacBook wouldn't wake from sleep running Lion beta 1 (old, I know, whatever). So I rebooted it by holding down the power button. This resulted in it getting stuck at the spinning gear several times.
So I tried to reset PRAM (holding command+option+shift+p+r on boot, yes, I think one of those is extra, but I couldn't remember which). It rebooted and then went into a type of recovery console.
