Lion Server Mail Alias

Hi all,

so new to Mac OS Server and just installed Lion server. The main aim is to replace the ageing Exchange Server 2003.

Installed Lion Server and much to my surprise it's really dumbed down in terms of in-depth options. As many have complained on here before.

My main issue is setting up email alias for users. So that Fred@my.com and Fred.a@my.com go to the same mailbox.

I Google and found some Leopard and Snow Leopard reference but am at a loss as how to do this in Lion. Anyone got any idea?

Add any additional email addresses you want to use as short names for the account. Use the full email address for the short name. "Fred.a@my.com"

And get Lion Server Admin Tools so you don't have to only deal with the dumbed down version of server admin.
