lion server user settings

I setup Lion server on one of my macs then created a few users went to a different mac with lion and set it up so i could sign on as user from server. It worked perfectly with the exception of the user i created i went to one mac and changed the dock and background but it doesn't keep that info to other macs only the one it was setup on.

is that how its suppose to work or am i missing a setting somewhere?

That's how it supposed to work although you could set it up as you mentioned. either thru mobile accounts or to set the user home path to a path on the the server. something like afp://yourserver/Users/yourusername
Fullpath /Network/Servers/yourserver/Users/
This can be done thru workgroupmanager.

is it also suppose to be like if the user on the server adds music to itunes on one client it is also suppose to be there on a different client when he signed in.

Only if they have home dirs on the server - so that it would sync up.

help with Lion Server

I have it working but I can't sync ical or address book or ipad on another mac wit lion installed.
can someone give specific instructions about what I have to do in server and in client
