lion won't install

hi lads i am trying to intall lion on a partion but its saying mac os x cannot be installed on this computer because a recovery system carn't be created,Anyone know how to get round this please.

I ran into this when trying to install on a RAID volume. I assume this is not the case on an iMac.

Is the drive partitioned?

yepi did have lion on it befor but i deleated it to try somthin els and now i want to mess with lion again befor its comes out.
