Hello, I have been a Mac user since the beginning. I am moving from Android to iOS. What apps are recommended for academic, scientists and engineers?

I use ezPDF reader on Android tablet. For iOS devices, which is recommended for notes taking, pdf reading and annotations?

Thanks.

PDF Expert, GoodReader or iAnnotate PDF. All of them export the pdfs with or without annotations or an annotation only summary.

Personally I use PDF Expert for isolated pdfs (not related with my research), but my academia (research) workflow relies on Bookends (bibliography app for mac) and its iOS companion (Bookends On Tap). I sync all pdfs to be read/annotated to my iPad and then sync back to the mac with the appropriated changes. So far the workflow works great and my productivity spiked up.

Hope that helps.

Bookends, PDF Expert and GoodReader annotations are interchangeable. I suppose iAnnotate is as well.

Also, check out PDF Pen for iOS, from Smile software, it is an awesome app, and if works just right along its Mac counterpart.
