Is there anywhere on the OS, Sierra in this case that shows what software updates have been installed?
Particularly the patches and updates for iTunes that enable you to still sync iPhone with older iTunes.
Periodically they come up, but can't find anything on Google to show me where they are, or a list of them on Apple?
Any idea please? Thanks

Sierra, I went back from High Sierra, but if there's a chance that 'Brave' may work on High, I may force myself back on to it.

I synched iPhone to iTunes last week, as normal, no prob, today an update appeared, that I had to download so as to allow phone to synch, but there is nothing to say it's from Apple, obviously it is, but they're not usually in the habit of updating an iTunes so old, 12.8.2.3, so wanted to see where it is, and to check what it is after installed.

Nothing mentioned on the list of software updates on their site where they list all.

That was why I wondered if such a list exists in Sierra so I can see what it was I allowed...?

Thanks for response, much appreciated. I would've sworn they wouldn't indulge in iTunes software as old as this one.
I do back up iPad Air 5 and iPhone 14 on it though... Old school!!

On newer version of macOS, MobileDeviceOnDemand.pkg and CoreTypes.pkg are installed.
I’ve explained more here https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...harges-it-but-wont-sync.2384003/post-32041157
Apple’s support page https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208831
You can trigger such an update by opening the MobileDeviceUpdater app from
/System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/MobileDevice.framework/Versions/A/Resources/MobileDeviceUpdater.app
I’m not sure if that’s the exact location on Sierra.
Many thanks for that. I did wonder. So much online is wrong. Even Brave saying it works with older OS than Sierra, but won't even open on mine now.
